Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Restorative Practices: a Workshop for Environmental Education Practitioners

This workshop provides lectures and hands-on activities about Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and restorative practices, and how we can apply this to environmental educational programming with K-12 Sonoma County students. This 2-day workshop will be on Monday, January 13th at Pepperwood Preserve in Santa Rosa and Monday, February 3rd at Laguna de Santa Rosa in Sebastopol. Each workshop is 9am-3pm and includes lunch. On the first day we have local expert Shari Garn teaching us about restorative practices (community circles) and other related topics. On the second day we will have presenters from SCOE and our SEEC community on SEL, Trauma Informed Care (TIC) and on mindfulness. Please plan on attending both sessions.

The registration fee is $25 for both days. Lunch will be provided.  Registration priority will go to SEEC members (40 slots available), and we encourage attendance at both workshops for maximum benefits. To register, complete the form found at the bottom of this page.

Thanks to the Community Foundation of Sonoma County (CFSC) and their continuing support of SEEC’s professional development!
