About UC Environmental Stewards Certifications at Pepperwood

Pepperwood is a proud partner with UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR). Each year, starting in January, we host one of the two Environmental Stewards certification programs: California Naturalist (in even years), and Climate Stewards (in odd years). The California Naturalist course focuses on California's natural history, and the Climate Stewards course focuses on building community resilience to climate change.

These courses are open to anyone interested in getting involved in environmental stewardship. Both certifications also serve as a pathway to becoming a Pepperwood Steward, which is Pepperwood's docent program.
