For just $50 a year, you can become a Friend of Pepperwood. Join an inspired community of like-minded individuals who care about protecting the natural world and creating solutions that foster biodiversity and the resilience of our local communities. Our Friends love learning about sustainable ecological practices and enjoy immersing themselves in the natural world. Friends of Pepperwood enjoy discounts on classes and invitations to special events and hikes. There are a variety of ways to give to Pepperwood as well as creative options for planning your legacy gift today.

Giving Circles

Friends of Pepperwood are invited to engage on a deeper level, creating a bigger impact, through our annual giving circles. 

Redwood Circle – $50,000 and up

An investment at this size will enable Pepperwood to advance critical initiatives around climate and fire resilience, habitat corridors, grasslands restoration, and environmental education. In addition to exclusive invitations and private hikes, Redwood Circle donors are invited to an exclusive Annual Redwood Circle reception at Pepperwood.

Oak Circle – $25,000 – $49,999

Oak Circle members support Pepperwood convenings and partnerships with global experts to inform and amplify our work throughout our region and beyond. In addition to exclusive invitations and private hikes, contributors at this level receive an annual briefing call with the President, informing them of the direct impact of their gift. 

Madrone Circle – $10,000 – $24,999

Your gift empowers science-based solutions to reduce wildfire hazards, manage floods and droughts, advance regenerative agriculture, and prevent the extinction of our precious wildlife. In addition to hikes and events, Madrone Circle donors level can reserve a private expert-led Learning Landscape private hike on our stunning preserve.

Manzanita Circle – $5,000 – $9,999

Your contribution empowers Pepperwood to engage researchers and decision-makers in measuring and mapping the processes driving ecosystem change. In addition to receiving customized invitations to hikes and events, members of the Manzanita Circle are invited to attend Pepperwood’s annual Sunset Celebration Gala. 

Leopard Lily Circle – $1,000 – $4,999

Your gift mobilizes a network of Pepperwood partners to craft and implement strategies that promote human well-being, environmental health, and biodiversity. Leopard Lily Circle benefits include “Friends of Pepperwood” exclusive hikes, listing in our Annual Report, and invitations to Pepperwood’s annual Harvest Gathering.
