This project explores how plants at Pepperwood respond to fire, and focuses on Coast Live Oak, Knobcone Pine, California Poppy, and some native grasses. I wanted to do this project because in California, fire is usually seen as destructive, so it was really eye-opening to see why fire is not only necessary but also beneficial.
