Meet at the Dwight Center Courtyard
Free, donations appreciated
Ages 10 and up—youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Join us Saturday, September 4th for another community party, AKA volunteer workday! This time we will be finalizing our native grass propagation for this winter’s restoration projects. We are so close to hitting our target of 25,000 grass plugs – by far the most amount we have propagated. Ever. It has all been made possible thanks to our wonderful volunteers!! We just need one final push to make it happen, so come on out and join the fun!
For volunteers who are looking for a little more exercise to go with their volunteering, we will also assign some volunteers to help with the construction of burn piles and the prepping of planting sites. Come learn about native plants, ecological restoration, and stewardship, all while contributing to the health of the land that sustains us!
Seed stewards will be working in and around the shade house and barn; those working on burn pile architecture will be working at our restoration site and encountering potentially uneven footing and some hilly terrain. However, we will all meet at the Dwight Center Courtyard to start.
These workdays are open for everyone, so please invite your friends, family, neighbors… We look forward to seeing you there!
