Meet at the Dwight Center
In this 10-session, 12-week course, participants meet on Saturdays to explore Pepperwood and learn about different natural history topics. Each session includes time in the classroom as well as time in the field. Participants will learn about Sonoma county’s natural ecosystems with Pepperwood environmental educator Summer Swallow and other local experts in hydrology, soil science, mammalogy, ecology, ornithology, and geology. Those completing the 40-hour course along with their capstone project will receive their California Naturalist Certification through the UC certification program. You can learn more about the certification program on the California Naturalist program page here via UC Agriculture and Natural Resources.
*Note: There is no class being held on Saturday, February 3rd, or on Saturday, March 2nd.
Though we love dogs, pets are not allowed on the reserve. When visiting Pepperwood, please leave pets at home for their wellbeing and that of our wildlife. Thank you.
Please, no smoking at Pepperwood.
