Pepperwood is proud to host the California Indian Basketweavers Association (CIBA) and their 2016 Tending the Wild — The Workshop! Meet some of the finest Master Basket Weavers, gain insight into one of California’s oldest art traditions and learn about traditional native land stewardship practices.
Workshop participants will learn to identify, tend, gather and process the plants central to native basketry, and have an opportunity to meet M. Kat Anderson, ethno-botanist and author of the book Tending the Wild. The Saturday program repeats on Sunday.
