Yee-haw! Discover the captivating creatures that dwell under Sonoma County’s rocks and logs, and in our ponds and streams, with wildlife biologist Jeff Alvarez. You’ll explore the beautiful springtime trails of Pepperwood as we observe a multitude of reptiles and amphibians in their various life stages. Jeff will show you how to make and use a lizard lasso (it’s harmless—don’t worry!), how to find salamanders in the water, and the best places to find snakes, turtles, frogs and others. As a herpetologist and producer of the PBS series Wildlife Watching, Jeff has worked with amphibians and reptiles for 30 years, and is excited to share his knowledge.
