Project Learning Tree Teacher Workshop: Building Student Understandings of our Recent Fire Event
Wednesday, June 6th, 9am – 3pm
Meet at the Dwight Center
$20 per person
Engage in hands-on, place-based activities and investigate environmental topics with a focus on fire. This workshop is ideal for K-12 formal and non-formal educators. The day will be spent both in a classroom setting at Pepperwood’s Dwight Center for Conservation Science and in the field observing the impacts of the October 2017 Tubbs Fire and how the ecosystem is recovering. Participants will visit with a local Cal Fire representative and Pepperwood staff.
Everyone will receive Project Learning Tree (PLT)’s PreK-8 Environmental Education Activity Guide and/or other secondary PLT module. All participants become Project Learning Tree certified educators.
