Meet at the Dwight Center

Nature Together is our series of events designed specifically for families with children.

Who goes hoot in the night? Who might we find fluttering around the porch light? Join Pepperwood Educators to learn about the local creatures who are active at night. We will share activities to spark our curiosity and introduce some of the cast of night characters, then we will watch the sunset as we embark on a walk to listen and look for signs of wildlife. Along the way, we will also enjoy the beauty of the evening sky.

Bringing flashlights/headlamps is encouraged, though there will be times where we ask that the use of lights to be limited.

Ease of Access/Hike level: The facility where this event takes place is ADA accessible. Bathrooms and water are available at the meeting place, but not during the hike. This event also includes a walk of under 1.5 miles of easy hiking level in dark lighting conditions, at a slow pace. This includes traveling over varied terrain with some steep inclines, including uneven surfaces. Backpacks and child carriers are welcome on the walk, but no strollers please.

Weather & Cancellations: This event will go on in light rain. However, it could be canceled in the case of heavy storms, unhealthy air quality or other unforeseen circumstances. In the case of cancellation, registrants will be notified via email.

When visiting Pepperwood, please leave pets at home for their wellbeing and that of our wildlife. Thank you.

Please, no smoking at Pepperwood.

Gracias.

Por favor, no fumar en Pepperwood.
