Members are invited on a winter excursion to explore parts of Pepperwood not often seen by the public. This adventure, led by Education Specialist, Holland Gistelli, will take us into the western region of the preserve to discover the regeneration of the post-fire landscape after the rains. We will bask in the beauty of vibrant mosses, oaks dripping with lichen, fascinating fungi, and perhaps even charismatic newts! This hike will include traveling both on-trail and off, with some steep climbs. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with a view.
