Saturday, November 9, 2019
10am – 2:30pm

Meet at the Dwight Center
$50 per participant ($45 for members)
Ages 11 and up welcome

Have you ever wanted to make your own lip balm or herbal salve? Come learn how to make these and the herbal infused oils that form the basis for everything from a bath oil, hand cream and muscle balm. We will use plants that are easy to grow in your garden or have naturalized in Sonoma County including Calendula, Plantain, St John’s Wort and more. You will go home with the confidence, recipes and samples of the salve and cream we will make during our time together. To finish up class we will take a stroll outside the Dwight Center to explore local plants that can be used in these recipes. Autumn will cover how you can identify, properly harvest, dry and use herbs to make your own homemade holiday gifts for friends and family.
