Meet at the Dwight Center
Ages 12 and up

Join us for this special driving tour of Pepperwood to experience beautiful vistas across the reserve. We will travel in shared vehicles with a couple stops along the way, where you will have the opportunity to get out and take in the sights, or view from inside the vehicles. Our ultimate destination will be Three Tree Hill, which offers 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape of Sonoma County, Napa County, and Lake County. We will take our time at this vista point, watching the sun set over the region’s mountain ranges and casting its warm glow across the land.  Your guide will share insights about local natural history and ecology, Pepperwood’s research, and our stewardship of the reserve.

You are invited to bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy on Three Tree Hill while we watch the sunset. There will be picnic tables available, and you are also welcome to bring your own folding camp chairs.

We will use Pepperwood’s vehicles, along with some participant vehicles joining the caravan as needed. There is the option for personal vehicles to join the caravan for those who are wheelchair users or have other adaptive equipment to use with their own vehicles.

Ease of Access: This event meets at a facility with ADA accessible bathrooms. We will travel in vehicles, with the option to get in and out of the vehicles several times. At each stop of the tour is an opportunity to get out to take in the sights, including the main destination view point. There will not be accessible bathrooms available during the duration of the driving tour, only at the meeting and ending location.

Weather & Cancellations: This event will be canceled in the case of rain, and could also be canceled due to unhealthy air quality or other unforeseen circumstances. In the case of cancellation, registrants will be notified via email.
