Meet at the Dwight Center

Bring your family and friends to enjoy a walk in nature and have a picnic in the forest.  With one of our Environmental Educators as your guide, you will enjoy the wonders and beauty of nature in the fall season. We will play some fun games and activities (slackline, archery, cornhole, and more!) together with new friends.

Ease of access/hike level: This event will include an easy to moderate walk of less than 1.5 miles at a slow pace. Wearable baby carriers/backpacks are welcome, but no strollers please.

Weather & Cancellations: This event will go on in light rain. However, it could be canceled in the case of heavy storms, unhealthy air quality or other unforeseen circumstances. In the case of cancellation, registrants will be notified via email.

Though we love dogs, pets are not allowed on the reserve. When visiting Pepperwood, please leave pets at home for their wellbeing and that of our wildlife. Thank you.

Please, no smoking at Pepperwood.

COVID Protocols: All events will follow current regional health safety guidelines. Please practice good health hygiene, and physical distancing when possible. If you do not feel well, please do not attend.

¡Traiga a su familia y amigos para disfrutar de un paseo por la naturaleza y tengan un almuerzo en el bosque. Con una de nuestros Educadores Ambientales como su guía, disfrutará de las maravillas y la belleza de la naturaleza en la temporada de otoño.  Vamos a jugar juegos y hacer actividades divertidas, como caminar sobre un cuerda “slackline”, tirar flechas con arcos, jugar a tablas de aguejero de maíz “cornhole” con nuevos amigos.

Facilidad de acceso/nivel de caminata: Este evento incluye una caminata de menos de 1.5 millas, con pendiente, en senderos que incluyen terreno irregular. Los baños y agua están cerca del lugar del evento.

Qué traer: Mochilas portabebés son bienvenidas, pero no carriolas por favor. Traiga su almuerzo y agua, zapatos cerrados, ropa adecuada para el clima y pantalones largos.

Clima y cancelaciones: este evento continuará con lluvia ligera. Sin embargo, podría cancelarse en caso de fuertes tormentas, mala calidad del aire o otras circunstancias imprevistas. En caso de cancelación, los inscritos serán notificados por correo electrónico.

Aunque amamos a los perros, no se permiten mascotas en la reserva. Cuando visite Pepperwood, deje a las mascotas en casa por su bienestar y el de nuestra vida silvestre. Gracias.
