Meet at the Dwight Center
In this four-hour workshop led by educator and natural dyer Lisa Rogers, we will explore the basics of eco-printing with leaves to create unique textile designs inspired by nature. This workshop will cover different techniques including using tannins and iron, and “Hapa Zome” which is pounding leaf prints on paper. We will take a 45 minute lunch break while pieces simmer away.
Participants will create their leaf print designs on a pre-mordanted silk piece. It can be used as a scarf, runner or wall hanging. This piece measures approximately 11” X 60”
Space in this workshop is limited, register early to secure your spot. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
