Citizen Scientist: Searching for Heroes and Hope in an Age of Extinction

Join award-winning writer and environmentalist Mary Ellen Hannibal as she shares her new book, Citizen Scientist – Searching for Heroes and Hope in an Age of Extinction. You’ll explore the natural world with the author—scouring mountains, wading into tide-pools, and collecting data on threatened species—to learn how citizen scientists document and discover diverse creatures to help slow this unprecedented mass extinction.  Combining original reporting, meticulous research, and a memoir, Citizen Scientist is a call for action and the story of how one woman rescued herself from an odyssey of loss with a new kind of science.
