Meet at the Bechtel House
Enjoy the beautiful landscape at Pepperwood Preserve while drawing spring flowers in colored pencil. Colored pencils are a fun, safe, and portable way to express oneself artistically. They are slow, calming, and meditative, easy to use for the beginner and challenging for the advanced artist. We will explore a variety of colored pencil techniques and color theory and learn how to blend, burnish and create new colors. We will focus on the diverse and wonderful wildflower display surrounding Bechtel House, where this class will be based. Weather permitting, we will sketch and color outside in close proximity to our botanical muses.
All drawing levels are welcome. Please bring your own supplies, and lunch to enjoy on a break in the activities. A suggested supply list will be provided in advance of the class date.
