Celebrating the Second Session of TeenNat in Pictures

This summer we doubled our programming to host two sessions of TeenNat, for a total of eight weeks of science and nature immersion with 45 high school students! Each day, our teen participants showed up ready to let their curiosity lead them through our field excursions and activities. We spent hours wandering the grasslands, woodlands, chaparral, and ponds of Pepperwood, while deepening our awareness of our surroundings through careful observation and collaborative scientific discussions.

Participants were exposed to the wide range of career paths available to them from our generous guest professionals on a special Career Day, held each session. Now that these 45 teens are officially part of our TeenNat Alumni community, our Education team looks forward to continuing to foster this collaborative network through our alumni events and opportunities such as Teen Science Night at California Academy of Sciences, and Winter TeenNat.

But pictures are worth thousands of words, so enjoy the gallery below.
