Following the flurry of activity during the holidays, I always look forward to the opportunity to follow Nature’s cues by slowing down during those few days before the New Year. It’s a moment to both reflect upon the past year – what we have learned and how we have grown – and to create a new vision for the year ahead. It’s an opportunity to remember our values and make sure we are spending our energy on what we most care about.
As one of the Pepperwood team members focused primarily on engaging our community who help bring the Pepperwood mission to life, I find myself reflecting on the years I’ve observed our community evolving alongside us. I am honored to connect with donors who share our vision of a healthy natural world.
Since my time at Pepperwood began in 2014, I have seen our research, stewardship, education, and administrative teams work with our core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity to help create a sustainable path forward for our community. Every day, I am inspired by the passion and commitment of my team.
We know that you have a choice as to where and how you share your energy and resources. There are so many organizations that are doing important work! Without YOU to support our collective connection to this landscape – to watch, listen, steward, and most importantly share our findings with others – we simply could not exist.
We are forever grateful to share the beauty, wonder, and inspiration of our 3,200-acre reserve that our founders, Herb & Jane Dwight ensured was protected for the benefit of our community. THANK YOU for providing the sustenance for our mission of inspiring conservation through science.
Visit us in 2023 to see our important work in action!
