Donor Support Enables Expanding of Conservation Science Intern Program

Due to the generous support of the Purdom Family Fund at the Community Foundation Sonoma County, we will be able to expand our Conservation Science Internships program this year by adding additional opportunities for first generation college and/or underrepresented students.

Building from our foundational partnership with the Santa Rosa Junior College and the MESA program, we will recruit up to six students from SRJC or UC Berkeley to gain research experience supporting our Wildlife Picture Index project. Students will be mentored by Wildlife Specialist, Steven Hammerich, and provided opportunities to learn about field research and careers in conservation science.

If you are interested in applying for the Spring, Summer, or Fall sessions, please contact Steven Hammerich.
