Pepperwood is proud to present the work of distinguished Bay Area landscape painter, Jim Caldwell. The exhibit will be held at the Pepperwood Gallery and will be available by appointment and during public events.

Born in New York, Jim Caldwell attended Williams College, studied at L’École des Beaux Arts in Paris, and then earned his architecture degree at Yale. He has spent most of his life in the Bay Area, dividing his time between painting and residential architectural design at his studio in Woodside. Caldwell’s paintings, which have been described as “realistic impressionism,” are featured in more than 450 private collections and have been highlighted in over 40 solo exhibitions and 30 group shows worldwide. Caldwell teaches painting and drawing in the South Bay and has published two books of his work: “The Golden Coast: From Big Sur to Russian River,” and “The Golden Coast: Landscapes at the Edge of the Continent.” Samples of his work can be seen at
