Public Service Announcement: Prescribed grassland burn at Pepperwood Preserve on June 18, 2019

Cal Fire will be conducting a prescribed burn at Pepperwood on Tuesday, June 18. Ignition time will be between 10am and noon depending on fuel moisture. This will be our third prescribed fire to reduce the presence of the non-native invasive weed, Medusahead, and to reduce fuel loads. The burn will only proceed if Cal Fire determines the conditions meet the prescription for a safe and effective burn. The Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District will determine if weather conditions will adequately disperse the smoke on the morning of the burn.
