On December 7th, Pepperwood’s President & CEO Dr. Lisa Micheli gave a presentation entitled “What can we learn from nature’s resilience to fire?” to the North Bay Leadership Council, a nonprofit public policy advocacy organization committed to providing leadership in ways to make the North Bay sustainable, prosperous and innovative. Lisa discussed the historical role of fire in California’s Mediterranean landscape, how nature is bouncing back, and how Pepperwood is working with our partners to increase our understanding of fire and what we can do to make our communities more resilient.

Earlier this year, Pepperwood was selected as the North Bay Leadership Council’s 2017 Leaders of the North Bay Award for Environmental Stewardship.
