Climate Ready brings top science to local managers

Yesterday Pepperwood celebrated the Climate Ready North Bay partnership with the Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Authority as we released new resources that over a dozen local cities and natural resource agencies will use to make our communities more resilient in the face of climate change.

These resources include projections of how water, plant communities and fire risks are likely to change in the future at specific sites including 10 Sonoma County Regional Parks and 18 Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District parcels. Pepperwood’s TBC3 climate science team worked directly with managers and planners, customizing resources to their individual needs.

Our local natural resource managers now have access to what are likely the most detailed projections of climate impacts in the nation!
